Co-farming

Co-farming supports Dutch and African young (potential) farmers to set up a succesful enterprise together in Africa. The Dutch farmers and market gardeners have a lot of knowledge and expertise on the field of agriculture and horticulture. In the Netherlands they are faced with low incomes and increasing regulations for agricultural businesses. Because of this, opportunities to start a succesful new business are even more decreasing for the young farmers. At the same time Africa has a strong need for development of the local agriculture and horticulture.

Co-farming leads to the increase of food security and employment in Africa on the one hand and on the other hand it will create opportunities for Dutch agricultural entrepreneurs to start a business.

Nederlands Agrarisch Jongeren Kontakt (NAJK), the Dutch organization for young farmers, and Africa In Motion join forces to this exceptional project and start a pilot in Rwanda.
